Well....
I iwll leave the poll active for visitors on the main page...
But I guess I can let eveyone here know the answer...
The longest ranged kill is by an F-15 against an orbiting satellite with an ASAT missile launched from 80,000 feet...
The first and only ASM-135A launch against an actual target satellite took place on September 13, 1985, when Maj. Wilbert D. "Doug" Pearson piloted F-15 77-0084 of the 6512th Test Squadron stationed at Edwards AFB took off from Vandenberg AFB and zoom-climbed up to 80,000 feet and then launched the ASAT against the Solwind P78-1, a gamma ray spectroscopy satellite that had been launched in February of 1979. Both the first and second stages fired successfully, and the miniature kinetic kill vehicle separated and homed in on the satellite, destroying it upon impact.
Flying at Mach 1.22 some 200 miles west of Vandenberg Air Force Base, he executed a 3.8g pull-up to a climb angle of 65 degrees.
The missile launched itself at 83,100 ft. Minutes later, orbiting peacefully 345 miles above the Pacific Ocean, the P78-1 satellite was suddenly shattered into pieces. Pearson had become the world's first pilot ever to shoot down a satellite. To this day, Maj. Gen. Doug Pearson remains, as Air Force Materiel Command Commander Gen. Lester Lyles recently observed, the first and only "space ace."
Everyone here forgot about the ASAT weapons test and its capabilities...

CAG told me it was an F-18 launching an AG weapon (maybee SLAM-ER) and destroyed a plane on the ground which of course would NOT count as a "kill" lolol _________________ FAF/FA-2 FM Wizard

apparently assymetricle negative Gs, one of the guys on the dev program said the team was a bit worried as this was unexpected, they thought it would handle it without breaking. _________________ FAF/FA-2 FM Wizard
