For those of you worried that I may leave for vacation without a release, I have decided to delay by departure date until I am certain I can release a final FAF Korea version in both summer and winter seasons... Smile

This way, when I come back fresh for further development I will be able to immediately concentrate on FAF NATO... Very Happy

Thought you all should know, since I got some very worried PMs over the last few weeks...

Right now, development is at 65% complete, with the remaining work to be completed by the third week of June and all final debugging completed by June 30th with a proposed release date of July 4th, 2005... Shocked

EDIT*** THIS DATE IS VOID DUE TO ERRORS UNCOVERED IN MULTIPLAYER. RELEASE IS NOW ON HOLD UNTIL THESE ERRORS ARE ALL CORRECTED.***

I think its only fitting that we release on the 4th of July! Its just right, to honor our troops and our country at the same time we are releasing the best we can offer in FAF today...

Thanks for reading this and I am hopeful all of you will enjoy all the work that we have all done to bring this to the general users... Very Happy

I'm sorry for your vacations, but be assured you can bet I'll be happy to help - at least it seems that we Italians don't risk advanced general elections any more Shocked Laughing Laughing Laughing

A July 4th release date would indeed be quite fitting! Very Happy

July 4th sound like good idea for the release of our new Korea set lib, in order, to honor our troops! Exellent idea, and I look foward to it! I was worried about you and our release of FAF lib, but look like you finally decided to release it by July 4th, a birthday of United Statesof America!

cheers!

Rad,

this concerns to my work and the troubles I had to volunteer for testing until now... and it belongs to the past, so I feel a very lucky guy these days Very Happy (anyway, it's a matter that unfortunately CAG knows until too well)

Hope that my message will be more clear for you now, 'mate Wink

I think its going to end up being impossible to make the July 4th delivery date. I just dont have the time right now to complete the work. I have some serious projects going on at work right now, and its eating into my free time...

Its going well, but there is still a TON of woark left to do...

More aircraft shapes and skins left, plus more vehicles and ships, scenery...

Its just ALOT of work left for me still to do...

Sorry guys, but I didnt expect to have such a major reduction in my freetime...

The good news is, though, that since I have done so little work due to my job, I have recovered ALOT from burnout and I actually look forward to my work again, and I may not need to take the summer off at all now...

The FAF work schedule is so light right now, that I dont forsee burnout as an issue for a while now, so I will be able to continue to do work on this reduced schedule over the whole summer and with the Friday Night Flights we will be testing all new stuff every week so it will keep everyone involved and interested!

What do you guys think?

Same problem here, an unforseen project is taking all my time and energy. My burnout is only just begining to lift and the friday flight helped that a lot.

Update on this...

As you all know, due to teh many issues encountered during multiplayer testing and the new breakthoughs on highrez GUI screens, the release of FAF Korea has been delayed. Sad

We are hopeful that solving the many problems encountered will not take us long and the new high rez GUI is already 50% completed! Very Happy

We are still thinking we may make release before the end of teh summer... Very Happy

No pressure, CAG, no pressure at all.

I'm currently runnig 2 installs of FA, one with FAF on it, one with Centurian's Game Remod 7. I'm currently 2/3 done with the Kuril Islands campaign, and wondering why my wingman decided to take on an airbase on his own. Dumbass.
