Are foldable wings on flyable (instead of just scenery) naval aircraft worth losing visible flaps?
No way! I want my flaps!

Good points there FF...

I dont know how to remap the animation to a new key and not even sure its possible...

Looks like auto folding wings are a pipedream for flyable aircraft...

Oh well such is FAF Life!

Thank you everyone for your input! It means a ton! Cool

Nope not yet... But its on the list of things to get done.

I tried it before the flap idea and it destabilized the shape...

Why?

It's just an important and obvious difference with that particular plane due to it's wing size, you can tell a Hawkeye is folded or not from miles away.

yep and I plan on doing the fold for it as well, but no guarantees about the far off distance part of the shape, since it has limited polygons to use in those shapes...

I voted for the folding wings instead, accepting the risk to go in deep troubles and make a crash - oh well, there must always be a motivation to improve my skills, against any odds.

CAG

I vote for flaps. I don't want my wings to fold when I lower the flaps and then crash. Some days I am a poor enough aviator without my wings folding! Laughing Laughing

I like the folding wings on scenery aircraft. Very Happy

Regards,
Pappy

Thanks for your input Pappy! I appreciate it!

BTW I have not only solved the folding wings on scenery aircraft but I have also solved theissue of no landing gear on them and they dont take up aircraft slots for missions so no limiting in mission flyable aircraft!

I know you will like them!
